A Walk with Sheep Rock in a Flurry of Snow?

We had a little snow today...
Actually it was more like small pelting hail and or freezing rain, it wasn't soft & fluffy to say the least. There was enough for some coverage on the hills in the north part of the Isle. So I took a walk on Buness with my good friend Sheep Rock and my camera.

The camera's flash catches the pelting bits.

Fair Isle... always a beautiful place no matter the weather.

  2. Such a wild beauty! I visited Fair Isle in August with my husband and we stayed a couple of days at the Bird Observatory. It was really a great experience for us and we can't forget the spectacular landscape, the rich wildlife, the peaceful atmosphere and genuine hospitality, the pure air filling our lungs and the special energy pervading this tiny and lovely island! Merry Christmas to all the islanders from Italy, hope to come again and stay longer in the future!
